Good typing posture helps you practise longer with less strain. It does not need to be rigid. The aim is comfort, relaxed movement, and a keyboard position that supports accuracy.
Keep shoulders relaxed
If your shoulders lift while typing, your arms may be too high or tense. Lower your shoulders and let your elbows rest comfortably near your sides.
Watch wrist position
Avoid bending wrists sharply up, down, or sideways. A neutral wrist position makes finger movement easier and may reduce discomfort during longer sessions.
Place the screen and keyboard well
Keep the screen easy to see without leaning forward. Place the keyboard close enough that you do not have to reach.
Take breaks
Short breaks help hands and eyes recover. If you feel pain, stop and adjust your setup before continuing.
Use keyboard skills for more habits that support comfortable typing.
